What is Church Membership?

We hold to the belief that the Bible mandates that every Christian should be a member of a local church; and that church membership is crucial to every Christian’s walk with Jesus. Becoming a member of a local church involves making a formal commitment to fellow believers in the church to live out the Christian faith collectively, which comprises two essential aspects:

1. A Christian submits to the authority and care of the church (as a group of people).

2. That church affirms that person in their faith and commits to caring for them.

The commitments we undertake are detailed in our church covenant, which comprises a set of biblical commitments and promises.

If you’re interested in membership at Bangalore Bible Church, the membership class is a great opportunity to learn more about who we are and what we believe as a church. And everyone is welcome to attend. Attending the class does not commit you to join, or guarantee that you will, but it will be a great opportunity for you to learn more about us!
